apv I could do any when I first started. By the time I started P90X, I could maybe get 3-5. Do you do MY P90X/X2 hybrid? There are several ways to improve. You have to work in different types and tempos of pull ups for added resistance. So what I would do would be to vary up your routines with using a weighted vest for 1 then the next do regular with drop sets (using a chin up assist). you can also do tempo pull ups where you are doing slow counts up and slow counts down. Anything to help trigger more trama to help with strength and power

When you first started doing pull ups how many could you do? I've read your pull up tips and have completed p90x and x2. When I started I couldn't do any and now I can get 22 consecutively with good form but I have hit a plateau and was wondering if you had any advice? I currently do a p90x2 strength only hybrid

wtenerelli You are correct in your assumption. Breaking it down to manageable sets is easier and more effective. Let us know what your new time is!

7:00 flat. It seems there must be a tactic to get this done faster and more efficiently. I think doing one's own max right out of the box might be detrimental in the long run so spurts of 10 pullups at a time is going to be my next approach.
