in regards to the yogurt, Also seriously consider greek yogurt.. Very high in casein protein, which is awesome before and usually zero sugar or fat. Also goes great in shakes or with fruit. Just make sure you get the plain one

I immediately went out and changed my peanut butter LOL I now read not only the nutrition daily value, but ingredients. Slowly learning. Grocery shopping now takes longer, but benefits in the end once I find all the healthy food choices I can just replace as I go through them with the same items.

Excellent post as always Sean!

Great article pass-along. If there's one thing I find is generally misunderstood, it's the "food details".

"Yogurt is good-- doesn't matter that it's loaded with sugar and HFCS. Peanut butter is the best! have you tried the one with added honey? "

That kind of thing- there's good foods-- then there's those foods that are put in a pair of high heels, blue eye shadow and lipstick and made to sell. It's at this point, if you're serious about your nutrition, we need to say-- "Hey, baby... you don't need all that make-up. I think you're beautiful just the way you are."

Good article. I'd also add to it how companies change up the serving size to make the calories seem less (my favorite is bottled drinks, 2 servings, really)? Or like Nesquick saying "no artificial colors or flavors" (on the ingredients you read: red 5, flavor). How is Red 5 and Flavor not artificial? Sometimes they don't play tricks, they lie to your face!
