@Manni: I would start by taking half of a scoop. That way you can see your tolerance. The problem is probably the caffeine in Xpand. If you aren't used to caffeine that could cause headaches. As far as quick protein is concerned, make sure you are having Whey protein 45 mins pre workout. Let me know if you have more questions

Sean,
I have the same problem, headaches, infact mine stays longer and I normally eat a couple of hours before workout. I've been trying to find a nitric oxide pre-workout supplement. What do you recommend? or what would be a quick protein intake as you recommended.

@Tanner: All pre-workout supplements seem to effect people differently. Did you take it on an empty stomach. If you did then you might want to try eating some sort of protein 1 hour pre workout then taking Xpand 30 mins before, that might help with the head ache. If it persists after a few workoutes then take it back and try something else.

Sean,
I went out and bought this today, felt a little light headed at first...waited the reccomended 30 minutes, did chest and back. first half hour was fine, then i got a massive headache, waited it out on the couch for close to 40 minutes. I felt amazing afterwards and huge pump. How do i minimize the headache man!?

@Al : I would recommend it for anyone using P90X. My problem was my job is getting more and more busy. I was coming home feeling run down and needed a jolt, this seems to do the trick very well. If you are feeling good then wait till at least phase 3 if you want to add it. To me, pre-workout supplements are kinda a secondary supplement. Protein, omega 3s, multivitamin and/or shakeology and creatine, I would consider primary. Does that make sense?
