<p><strong>What do I need to do once I&#8217;m in a Challenge Group?</strong></p>
<p>First thing you need to do is to share you goals with everyone in the group, me included.  Once in the group, you will need to participate by posting daily that you have completed your workout, followed the diet and share anything of your thoughts or questions you have having.  You will also need to support the other members of the group as well.  You will also need to take progress pictures and post them as well.  Every 15 to 30 days.  That way you can show your results and help motivate everyone else.  I can also create specific challenges in the group for small prizes, like one for who loses the most weight in 90 days.</p>

You have seen the infomercial and the stories online but you wonder, how did these people get the results that they did? As a Beachbody and P90X coach I am here to help. I have comprised 5 simple rules for you to get the most out of P90X so you can get in the best shape of your life. Remember, results can vary but if you follow these below you will get most out of this incredible program.<br />
<strong><br />
<span style="text-decoration: underline;">P90X Rules of Success:</span></strong></p>
<p><strong>1. Nutrition: </strong>I listed nutrition number one because I believe that it is the most important. In my opinion getting extreme results comes from 80% nutrition and 20% intense workouts. P90X supplies both. The nutrition guide that comes with the program is an incredible blueprint for getting results. It provides the amount of calories you need, A 3 phase nutrition plan, the foods you should eat, when you should eat them, recipes for meals, and the ratios of protein/carbohydrates/fats you should eat based on what your goals happen to be. Eating the right amount of calories, with the right proteins/fats/carbs/veggies/fruits/snacks at the right times is a key factor in getting the results your after. All you have to do is read and follow the guide. But you still have questions? That&#8217;s where I come in. <p><strong>2. Having the Proper Equipement:</strong> P90X doesn&#8217;t need a lot of equipement. All you need is a <a href="http://getrippedathome.com/gear/p90x-chin-up-bar/">Pull-up Bar</a> , Weights and/or <a href="http://getrippedathome.com/gear/resistance-bands/">Resistance Bands</a>. The most important thing is the have the right amount of Weight/Resistance! Far to often I get emails from my team members that are using 10 lb or 20lb dumbbells for the whole program. This isn&#8217;t going to be enough to get the best results. Different muscle groups require different amounts of resistance in order to get stronger. Your back is stronger than your biceps for example. P90X will get make you stronger. You will need to progress the amount of resistance you use as your strength increases in order to get the best results.</p>
<p>What do I use? I use both Adjustable dumbbells and resistance bands. Adjustable dumbbells are a great way to save money and space. Some of the most popular are <a href="http://www.bowflexselecttech.com/bst_microsite/nln/bb/v3.jsp">Bowflex Select Tech</a> and <a href="http://www.powerblock.com/">Power Blocks</a>. If you can&#8217;t afford the free weights then Resistance bands are for you! Make sure you get at least 2 tensions. The Super and Extreme kits can be found in the &#8220;Gear&#8221; section.</p>
<p><strong>3. Proper Supplements:</strong> You have gotten your nutrition down and now you need the right supplements. Fortunately P90X and Beachbody provide all the supplements that you need to get the best results. <a href="http://getrippedathome.com/supplements/whey-protein-powder/">Whey Protein</a>, <a href="http://getrippedathome.com/supplements/p90x-results-and-recovery-tub/">P90X recovery drink</a> (post workout), <a href="http://getrippedathome.com/supplements/shakeology/">Shakeology</a>, <a href="http://getrippedathome.com/supplements/p90x-peak-health-multivitamin/">P90X Multivitamin</a>, <a href="http://getrippedathome.com/supplements/p90x-peak-performance-bars/">P90X protein bars</a>, <a href="http://getrippedathome.com/supplements/core-omega-3/">Omega 3s</a> are all supplements to consider. They are all made specifically for P90X by nutritionist such as <a href="http://www.marksdailyapple.com/" class="broken_link">Mark Sisson</a> and <a href="http://www.steveedwardsonline.com/">Steve Edwards</a>. Optional supplements would be <a href="http://getrippedathome.com/supplements/strength-muscle-mens-formula/">Creatine</a> or a pre-workout supplement like <a href="http://getrippedathome.com/2010/03/18/xpand-xtreme-pump-review/">Xpand Xtreme Pump</a>. <p><strong>4. Consistency/Dedication:</strong> When you start P90X you are committing to a 90 day program. You must follow the schedule and be consistent with both the workouts and your nutrition to get the greatest results. A great way to do this is to set goals. Set 30, 60, and 90 day goals. Whether it be being able to do 10 pull ups, losing 30lbs, or gaining 10, setting goals will help you stay on the path to success. A great way to hold yourself accountable is to use the <a href="http://www.beachbody.com/text/products/programs/p90x/P90XWorkSheet.pdf">P90X workout sheets</a> . As for nutrition A tool that I use is called <a href="http://www.fitday.com">FitDay</a>, a food logging website which allows you to keep track of the amount of calories, as well as the % of protein/carbs/fat you take in daily. Will it be tough at first? Yes. Will there be days you don&#8217;t want to workout? Yes. But each day you do the program you take one step closer to your ultimate health and fitness goal. 				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As most of you know, I am a HUGE <a href="http://getrippedathome.com/programs/p90x/">P90X </a>guy.  So whenever Tony Horton (the creator of P90X) says something I take notice and listen.  I saw this today from him and I wanted to post it here so everyone could get a nice reality check when it comes to your health/fitness.  We all make excuses.  We all have problems.  We are all busy people.  In order to change your life you have to put in the time and consistency.  Don&#8217;t lie to yourself as to why you are out of shape and not feeling well.  Be real, decide you want to change, commit to a Beachbody program like P90X, Insanity, Asylum, TurboFire, etc, and succeed!  If you are out of shape, you know that you didn&#8217;t get there overnight.  You are consistently making bad decisions with your diet and health.  What would happen if you consistently made good decisions?  How much different would your life be if you lost that 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 lbs?  How would you feel?  How would you be received by those around you?  Take control of your life, take control of your future, take control of your health and BRING IT!</p>
<blockquote><p><strong>Closet Garbage Eater by Tony Horton</strong></p>
<p><em>&#8220;You know who you are. You&#8217;ve got all the answers and your lousy at  taking sound advice because it&#8217;s easier to be lazy. The tilt-a-whirl of  disappointment goes round and round and you pretend everything is okay.  You&#8217;re not fooling anyone and everyone else knows what you&#8217;re up to.  It&#8217;s easy to lack self discipline because you&#8217;re not alone. Misery loves  company.</em></p>

<p><em>I&#8217;m sick and tired of hearing why you can&#8217;t  stop eating crap. Stop blaming your thyroid, boyfriend, childhood and  ancestry because it&#8217;s not working. The problem is your inability to face  reality. The real issues are your lack of accountability, willpower,  determination and the lousy company you keep. It&#8217;s also your lame plan  or lack there of. Your reasons why suck and you don&#8217;t tell the truth  about what you stuff in your face when no one is looking.</em></p>
<p><em><br />

<p><em>Your  horrendous eating habits is the American terrorist within. If the level  of disease caused by unhealthy choices continues at this alarming rate  then we will destroy ourselves without any help from the bad guys. Fad  diets, pills and miracle potions used to lose weight never work in the  long term and they never will. Dozens of studies show that calorie  control diets that still allow you to eat forms of unhealthy food always  fail. I&#8217;ve never met anyone who started a &#8220;weight lose only&#8221; diet and  stayed on it. So you lost 50 pounds and kept it off for 5 years. Why did  you gain it all back in 6 months during year six? Are you proud of  that?</em></p>

<p><em>When diet deprivation becomes too much the closet  eating begins. Your reasons for falling off the wagon are plenty and  you&#8217;ll defend them till you&#8217;re blue in the face. Good for you for  choosing the option that required you to be lazy again. Choosing  gluttony is no way to build your manifesto my friend. What is your  reason for being on this earth? Why do you really put that garbage in  your mouth? Do you want to know why? Do you want to look at it closely?  Do you care enough?</em></p>

<p><em>The simple answer is choice. I hope  you weren&#8217;t expecting something more complicated. How do you choose what  to be? How will you work to be better than before? Who will you  surround yourself with? How long will your better choices last? Will you  continue to be the closet garbage eater or will you finally get your  act together, stop making it about you all the time and begin to be an  example to the people in your life who need your help?&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>

<p>Before I started <strong>P90X</strong>, I didn&#8217;t feel like I was living up to my full potential.   I had just come out of college and started my first real job. I should have been feeling confident and energetic, but my poor eating habits and lack of physical activity left me feeling lethargic and self conscious.  Business Lunches, Co-worker pressure, and long hours did me in.  I was tired after work, too lazy to eat well, and got sick every other month.  I gained 25lbs and decided that enough was enough&#8230;I started to go to the gym.</p>
<p>The gym was crowed and intimidating.  When I went I had to put up with the dirty locker rooms, bad parking, and wasting time/gas driving to and from.  But I reluctantly stuck with it and lost some weight.  It only took me a year&#8230;.Then came the plateau.  Any effort I was putting in I got nothing in return.  I had completely stopped progressing.  ENTER<strong> P90X</strong>.</p>
<p>I saw the <em>P90X</em> infomercial for the first time right before I went to bed. I was immediately intrigued but skeptical because there are so many products that make empty promises out on the market. In the year that I had been going to the gym I never saw those type of results, how could people get into that kind of shape in 90 days? What about gaining mass&#8230;could I gain mass on this program? When I woke up the next morning there it was again, Tony Horton talking about muscle confusion. For the next couple weeks everywhere I looked I saw something about P90X. A co-worker was talking about it and I saw people wearing P90X t-shirts, so I kept researching the product. I was convinced! I was going to get into the best shape of my life, and P90X was my solution.</p>
<p>I never thought that a home workout could be that intense. My transformation results started to happen in the first 30 days. The nutritional guide was my food bible.  I soaked up every word.  I soon found out that Nutrition was going to be the key to extreme results.  I immediately started to follow the guide and eat clean.  And guess what?&#8230;it worked!  I started dropping body fat and gaining muscle mass almost immediately. After 60 days I was stronger than I had ever been. At 90 days, I had dropped 9% body fat and gained 10 lbs of lean muscle. I played sports in high school but was never in this kind of athletic shape.</p>
<p>These workouts pushed me to the limit&#8230;and I loved every minute of it. Tony Horton is one of the most inspirational guys I have ever seen. The man was pushing 50 and doing things that I would never dream of. How many 27 year olds can say that? Before(P90X) I would get bored quickly with exercise but the muscle confusion always kept the routines fresh and fun. Just when I thought I was getting used to the routine, another phase would start and I would be doing totally new moves. My skepticism was erased, literally ten minutes into the first Chest/Back video, and I have never looked back.</p>
<p>I now proudly call myself a P90X grad. I have more energy, motivation and I am excited to challenge myself in every aspect of my life. I live a healthy lifestyle, eat clean and I have more energy in everything I do. I have also become a Beachbody Coach. I try to help others achieve their goals and change their own lives.  Making money helping people with their health/fitness is one of the best jobs around.  If you can imagine having a job where you create my own hours, take as many breaks as you want, help hundreds of people get into shape, and still be home to spend time with your family, then this opportunity can change your life.  It has for me.</p>
<p>I now workout with Tony Horton in person. Tony is the real deal. He walks the walk and talks the talk. He is personable, motivational and inspiring.  I have also been cast in the new <strong>P90X2! </strong>P90X is truly a life changer.  In two years I went from watching the infomercial in bed, to getting ripped at home with P90X, to becoming a coach, meeting Tony Horton, and now a cast member in the new P90X2.</p>
