Troy’s fitness journey isn’t a likely one. Troy was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of 17. He decided that once he got well he was going to take his life back…and he did. Troy was lucky enough to be introduced to P90X from a friend. He used P90X, P90X+, Insanity and Asylum to get himself back into unbelievable shape! He focused a ton on his nutrition and truly changed his health and fitness.

Here is Troy’s Incredible story in his own words…

In November of 2009, at 17, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Prior to getting sick, I was a very active and fit kid. I played many sports and never had a need to go to the gym or to work out at all. After a month of chemotherapy and radiation I had lost 10 pounds of muscle mass. After 6 months, I was down 40 pounds. My hockey season playing weight was a lean 180 lbs, I was currently 140. My self esteem was incredibly low, I avoided mirrors and going out in public; something had to be done.

For Christmas in 2010, a friend of mine got P90X as a gift and asked if I would join him to workout. I can’t remember what my original ‘fit-test’ results were, but I know my push ups started in the single digits. The first 90 days were an incredible challenge, but by the time April rolled around I was starting to get my normal body back.

Round 2 was a hybrid with many Beachbody videos. Some P90X+, some 1 on 1′s and Shaun T’s Insanity and Asylum. I saw very noticeable gains in my body composition and fitness levels. By the time summer was over, I was confident in my own skin again. During Round 3, I focused a lot on nutrition and started to eat very clean. I also paid a lot more attention to form on exercises and tempo. This round was purely P90X and was an effort to get me ready for the soon-to-be-released P90X2.

With P90X2, I have employed a carb-cycling technique to my diet, which has been incredibly effective (dropping my BF% to 7) and have really tried to strengthen my lower body and increase my balance and coordination. I still feel as if my fitness journey has only just started and every day I see more room for growth.

My motivation along the way was just to get back to my old self. Once I reach that point, I was hooked and wanted to see more and more improvement. Fitness and nutrition has become a huge part of my life and that is solely because of Beachbody.

There are times when you see people’s potential that they can’t seem to see in themselves. You try to get them to see it but they just aren’t ready to make the change. Jeremy is NOT one of those people. When he finally decided that enough was enough and starting taking the steps to change his life, there was no stopping him. It just goes to show that you can fall off the wagon, get back on and get AMAZING results. Jeremy has been a extremely active member of my team and his results show it. He has gone from 260lbs, started P90X and is now 185lbs!! But that’s not all. I have had the pleasure to get to meet Jeremy, workout with him, and I’m privileged to call him a fellow coach and friend. His story is truly inspiring. He has a huge heart for helping others and is true example of what you can do if you just put your mind to it. Awesome Job Jeremy! Here is his story in his own words…

Jeremy’s Fitness Journey In His OWN Words….
Last summer (2010) I was 260 pounds…260!!!When I was in high school I was “stocky” because I’ve always had broad shoulders but I was never necessarily overweight. It wasn’t until after high school I developed bad eating habits.Lots of fast food, and soda. After a time I decided to go into the Marine Corps.I went in weighing 240, and came out of boot camp a trim 165 pounds.I thought I was on top of the world. However I slowly started to pile on the pounds again with bad eating habits and no commitment to my personal overall health.I had blinders on and didn’t realize I was doing damage. At one point I was able to put away entire large pizzas and 2 liter bottles of soda in one sitting no problem. After I became engaged to my wife, I decided to lose weight for the wedding and spent 3 months doing nothing but 45-minute cardio sessions 6 days a week in my garage.I had started eating a little better and I lost 50 pounds. When I got married I weighed 175.However because I lost it all doing non-stop cardio, I didn’t build any muscle and therefore didn’t maintain any lasting changes.

My wife became pregnant with our first son, and wouldn’t you know it?I gained it all back. Some say “sympathy weight.”I call it laziness and again, poor nutrition. Our first son was born in 2005 and I spent the next 5 years weighing anywhere from 230 to 250 up until last summer where, as I stated I was at my heaviest ever at 260.The real eye opener was that I had to take off work (I’m manager at Disneyland) because I developed sciatica due to being heavy and I couldn’t walk or stand for any length of time.I was overweight, immobile, depressed, and didn’t have much to be happy about.

On a hot summer day in August last year I was watching the P90X infomercial.I had seen it before but something clicked and I made the phone call.I ordered the program and took the first step into what I would now call a significant turning point in my life.I received the program and tried it for one week and….. I failed! I couldn’t get through it.I was totally deflated.I started checking out success stories on the Beachbody web-site and on You-Tube, which led me to meeting my current Beachbody Coach and a major influence in my life Sean Callahan.I was completely inspired by his personal results, his determination, his unwavering support, and his resolve to make me the fittest person I could be.

With new motivation and commitment to MY personal fitness, I plowed through my first round of P90X and completed it.I made it!I felt so good I wanted to do it again and again. Before the beginning of my 3rd round, Sean sent me a sample of Shakeology. It was great and totally filled in the gaps of my nutrition. At the end of my 3rd round, with Shakeology as a major ally in my new fitness journey, I was down to 195 pounds.Overall I dropped 65 pounds and I felt great.I felt so good that I wanted to share my experiences in proper nutrition and fitness so I became a coach under Sean and I love my team.I’m still new but I’ve managed to inspire others by my example. And I love, love, love (till my daddy takes the T-Bird away) my new place in life!

Talk about a full body transformation! Jarret, took to P90X and Insanity and got insane results. I was amazed when I saw what he has done in this short time. It just goes to show that no matter where you start, you can turn your life around through these fitness programs and a good healthy diet. Jarret went from being completely out of shape to a whole new person. Yes, that is the same guy! The dude is crazy ripped and is doing things he never thought he could do. I saw him crank out over 80 push ups in 2 mins. How awesome is that? Jarret has become a very active member of my fitness group on facebook and is continuing to inspire those around him with his results. What are you waiting for? If Jarret can do it so can you! Here is what Jarret had to say in his own words.

Jarret’s Story in his own words:

I have always been up and down with my weight. I began to gain a lot of weight during my wife’s first pregnancy eight years ago. My weight fluctuated a lot in the Last eight years. I was at my heaviest (275 lbs) in 2005 after my family and I were displaced and lost all that we own due to hurricane Katrina. I am in construction and am a pastor at my local church, which brings me to my transformation story. A missionary from Mexico came to my church and was talking about how important it is to stay fit for the Kingdom of God; especially him and his team who travel a lot by foot. He was talking about being fit and then he did it; threw up the x symbol. I figured if this man can do it then I would give it a try, not just for me and my family but also to be ready for anything or place God may call me to go. I started in January and I weighed over 265 lbs. I started off with dieting and limited p90x a couple time a week. I saw great success just dong as much I could when I could. I did a steady diet and p90x exercise till about may until i got a copy of insanity. I did insanity straight through and saw amazing results. I am 90 percent through the asylum and anxiously awaiting to start p90x again and p90x2. My current weight is 192 lbs. and I am at 9 % Body fat. that is a weight loss of about 73 lbs in 9 months. I will continue to keep hitting play and enjoying being in the best shape of my life. Thanks Beachbody!

I have been doing P90X and other Beachbody programs since January of 2009. In that time frame, I have completed 8 “rounds” of P90X and P90X Hybrids. Back when I first started I was 150lbs and 16% body fat. After my first 90 days I had gone up to 158-160 lbs and had my body fat drop to 8%. Since then my goals have changed after almost every round. Round 7 had become a major mass gaining around where I was determined to gains mass with minimal body fat gain. I ended up getting to 170lbs and 7% body fat. Round 8 became all about getting back to being in the best shape possible.

My end results of round 8 are as follows. I am currently 5′ 11″ and 168 lbs. I just got my body fat checked and I am down to 4.5-5% body fat. My 8th round was a hybrid of P90x/P90X: One on One Vol 3/Asylum/Chest X 2.0 (click for links). I also added the P90X2 workouts that I had rehearsed and had been in. This is a routine that I am going to keep going as I get ready for P90X2 to come out this December. Here are my results:

This picture was a candid pic taken last week at the beach workout. I wanted to show this pic instead of a picture of me posing so you could get a good idea what I look like in a real world environment. No indoor set up lighting, flexing or anything like that. I would even say that I am in better all around shape than I was for the P90X2 videos that I am in. It will be interesting to see the difference when they come out.

My strength has gone through the roof this last round. Here is a video of the Beach workout, in case you missed it, that I took where you can see how 2 years of P90X can help you with your functional strength.

Here is another pic that I took today of my Round 8 results. Again, I wanted to take on that was as candid as possible so you could get a good idea how I am progressed of this round.

As I am moving into round 9 of my P90X journey I am now looking to go into a Mass Gaining mode again. I will be upping my calories, increasing my weight and adding more drop sets into my P90X routine. I believe that I will focus mostly on P90X + One on One workouts. I am doing this to get ready for when I start my P90X2 round this January 2nd (more on that to come soon) and I will also post my round 9 schedule for those who are wanting to join me. If you sign up for me as your Free Coach Here, you can find my private fitness group on Facebook HERE, join me and my team as we get ready for P90X2.

Devlin proves that you can completely change your lifestyle and become a whole new person. His P90X transformation is incredible. He did it all, lost a ton of weight by running and eating better. As he continued to run he had trouble gaining healthy muscle mass so he committed to P90X for the full 90 days. He was then able to gain mass, strength and size. Talk about a complete turn around.

A little bit of Devlin’s Story in his own words:

I finally came to a point in my life that I knew I needed change. I was overweight, my blood pressure was skyrocketing, and my heart was skipping beats while I was just sitting down. My wife made me promise to make a change. I started running. I lost the necessary weight, but I was still having difficulty gaining healthy, lean muscle. Until P90X. I had heard about it from TV and friends, but I decided to try it myself. I am so glad I did. Watch my video, and you’ll watch my life change before your very eyes. You can also see more at my blog,

What do you think of Devlin’s P90X Transformation? Do you think you can turn around your life like he did? Have you already?

Here is Keith’s Story in his Own Words:

I got married in August of 2008 at about 175 lbs and 15% bodyfat. I played basketball 3-4 times a week and was lifting 3-4 times a week. My nutrition was not perfect, but it was not unhealthy. I did not eat candy/junk food nor soda and overall tried to eat lean proteins and vegetables as much as possible.

Soon after my marriage, I got a new boss at work and work pressures became worse than ever. I was very unhappy at my job and that stress caused me to change lifestyle behaviors. I worked so much, I stopped working out all together; I ate ok, but had no idea my caloric levels and ate more lunches out at restaurants. And more importantly – I was drinking more and more on the weekends with friends to relieve stress.

Next thing I knew it was October 2010 and I was 190 lbs and 22% bodyfat and unhappy with the husband I had become. Worse than those stats were the lifestyle issues. I had back surgery in high school and had never had issues with it after that. Now, I had issues with pain down my leg and soreness while just sitting in chairs. On a trip for my wife’s 30th birthday – I spent the entire weekend in bed on medication due to back spasms.

I had purchased P90X about a year prior and made it about 60 days through, but quit in phase III basically due to excuses – work was stressful and I was too tired when I got home to “push play”.

When November 2010 came around I had quit my job, taken a new job and moved with my wife to California. I picked back up with P90X as I was determined to turn all aspects of my life around. I picked up a few supplements from Beachbody, stocked up the fridge with healthy foods and jumped back in.

This time, I told myself it was about consistency. I knew somedays would be harder than others, but just stick with it. It took me more like 120 days to finish. I had a week vacation, got sick 1 week, and took an extra rest week. But I finished, and even on those off weeks, I focused on my food.

I had an app on my iphone to track my calories and nutrient splits and tried to eat whole foods – non processed foods that Shaun talks about on his site from healthy sources.

Now – I am 163lbs and 13% BF. I was only able to do 1 unassisted pull up when I started, now I can do 11 – I have never done that many! I have 0 back pain. It was tough to start P90X in pain, but I started slow and did what I could. I iced down every night. Now I am pushing harder and harder pain free and loving it.

I am starting Asylum on Sunday and my goal now is to maintain weight but build muscle so I reduce my BF% down to 10% – If successful, I will be sharing those images and journey with you all as well.

Thanks for letting me share this. I think taking these images was more motivational than anything. When I started and looked at myself in the mirror, I didn’t think I was that unhealthy – we can lie to ourselves. Also – over the journey – I could not really tell that my body was changing. But now, looking at these side by side, it makes me realize how my work paid off. And its keeping me motivated to start next program.

Ted is a great all around guy and is now part of my team of coaches. He had fallen into the “let myself go” category after getting caught up with work and travel. That is until he picked up P90X again and committed to it 100%. His P90X results were unbelievable. I hadn’t seen him these last 90 days and was amazed by the transformation that took place. It just goes to show you how hard work and dedication to both diet and exercises can do amazing things. Ted stuck to following the P90X nutrition guide, Shakeology, and P90X. He didn’t skip any workouts or cheat at all for 90 days. If you want to see the full potentional of what P90X can do for you then check out his youtube video.

Here is what Ted had to say about his transformation in his own words:

This past October, I returned from some time away from home, about three months worth of time. I had gotten out of shape, was not eating well, and was ready to make a change when I got home. Funny thing is, when I got back, I didn’t think I was in that bad a shape, but to my surprise, when I started comparing pictures, they suggested otherwise! What a shock. With p90x, the p90x nutrition program and Shakeology, I was able to completely change my physique in 90 days. It was a crazy reminder how effective this program is when followed with some dedication. I started the program at 152 pounds and 12% bodyfat, and ended at 156 pounds and 8% bodyfat. I lose 6 pounds of fat, and gained 9 pounds of muscle! Crazy! Check out my pics and my youtube video and see for yourself.

If you would like to ask any questions to Ted about his P90X results, you can contact Ted or visit his website http://yourbestyou90.com/ and ask or feel free to leave a comment.

Have you gained weight since high school? Did you think that you could never get in that kind of shape again? Brian gained weight over the years but is now back to his high school weight! He dedicated himself to Power90 and P90X and got amazing P90X results from his hard work and dedication to the workouts, nutrition and supplements. Way to go Brian! He has been a great member of our team on getrippedathome.com and is now loving his new health/fitness. He is a perfect example of deciding what matters in life and making the changes to commit to those things that matter.

Brian’s Story in his own words

My Journey -

I started 2010 completely overweight, no energy, and a total lump…technically I finished 2009 in the same shape :), I recall trying to get my work boots on one morning so I could get out the door and head to the jobsite and my stomach/chest being in the way and it was actually uncomfortable to perform a simple task like tying shoes. This was the point I reached disgust and it was time to make a change. 230 lbs, absolutely disgusting.

It was time for a diet and to make a change in my life. Over the next couple of months I was able to reduce my body weight from 230 lbs to about 212 lbs. Only problem was I had already figured out how to maximize my input, cheat the system and completely do an end around on eating healthy or learning about how to eat healthy. I had lost some weight, but learned nothing. End result…I looked like a smaller, still plump version of myself.

Like most everyone else, I had seen a P90X infomercial on TV and I had heard one of my friends talk about P90X results, but I wasn’t sold yet. I Googled P90X, P90 and logged on to Beachbody and started doing some research. I remember not finding anything negative about the program from people that put forth effort, which I was amazed at. Considering the shape I was in, I opted to do P90 first and get my body back into exercise mode. On June 9th, I finished P90 and lost about 10 lbs, but more importantly was able to stick to good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle for 90 days and learn what it was going to take to make a change in my life.

Upon completing P90 I ordered P90X. I have just completed my first round of X and my results have been amazing to me. I have lost 22 lbs, 4 inches from my waist and have a great foundation to attack another round of P90X. I have a level of energy I have not felt in years. Eating whole, healthy, Organic foods and cooking all of our meals at home has never tasted better! I currently am 3 lbs heavier than what I graduated high school at, it absolutely blows me away to have this body. I have just started Shakeology and am determined to drop my body fat % with the goal of getting my abs to show through what little flab is still left over. I have also recently become a Beachbody Coach to help others achieve the same success that I was able to.

Thanks to Beachbody for making these tools available. Thanks to Tony for keeping P90X down to earth, providing options, keeping me grounded and always moving things along at an awesome pace. Thanks to Coach Sean for all the time spent answering my questions, providing motivation to push play every day and always being just an email away. I got P90X results!

Ready to Try Power90 or P90X and change your life like Brian?
