Body Beast Supplements

Body Beast is coming out very soon.  Beachbody is releasing new Body Beast info weekly and I believe that  a summer release date is definitely in the picture.  The lastest info to come out is the new Body Beast Supplements.  This line of Body Beast supplements are being released as Beachbody’s EXTREME Nutrition supplement line.  I have been teasing my Get Ripped At Home Crew with the ides that there were going to be Mass Gaining Supplements released and they have now revealed them.

From the what we see in the video below, and what I have gathered, it looks like Beachbody is continuing their trend of using natural and high quality ingredients in all of there latest supplements, including the new Body Beast supplements.  This most likely means, no controversial supplements, no artificial flavors and no low quality proteins, carbs and fats.  All good things.  I also think that some of these supplements can be used with all of the other Beachbody programs that are currently offered.  P90Xers looking to gain mass with also be happy with these supplements as well.

Here is the new line of Body Beast Supplements:

Hardcore Base Shake

Hardcore Base Shake is 18 grams per serving of Whey Protein Isolate.  As you have seen from my previous posts, I prefer whey protein isolate to other forms of protein supplements.   It is the highest quality and purest form of protein you can find in a powder.  What what has been released, we can tell that the Hardcore Base Shake is flavor neutral, which means you can blend it easily with other supplements like Results & Recovery or Shakeology, M.A.X. Creatine and Super Suma.   Having already found very good high quality Whey protein powders like the ones I have reviewed here, I will be very interested to find out how this compares.

Fuel Shot

Fuel Shots looks to be Body Beast version of the P90X Recovery drink.  From what we can see in the video below, Fuel shot is a Dextrose/Maltodextrin (Glucose Sugar) based post workout shake.  As with the P90X Recovery drink, these two carbs work in tandem to help reduce muscle soreness, restore lost glycogen, and help you keep you anabolic post workout.  You can read all about post workout nutrition here.  I am not sure if this will be exactly like the P90X recovery drink (with a new name) or if it will be a new flavor or if they are just re marketing the current recovery drink.

M.A.X. Creatine

M.A.X. Creatine stands for Muscle Acceleration Xtreme Creatine Monohydrate.  This products sounds as straight forward as the name suggests.  Creatine is a proven muscle building supplement that has been around and studied for a very long time.  It is used for mass gaining and muscle building because it works.  I am glad they are doing a pure creatine monohydrate product for Body Beast.

Super Suma

Super Suma is a brand new supplement being introduced with this Body Best supplement line.  I am surprised but happy to see it introduced.  Suma root is a plant root that has been used for energy, strength, and endurance for a long time.  It was said to be the “Russian  Secret” back in the 80s.  It is also known to help boost your natural testosterone which helps helps enhance the bodies own testosterone production and protein synthesis for faster muscle growth.  I am curious to see if it is just pure suma root or if it is combined with other root powders like Tribulus or Maca, which are also known to help with hormones and strength.  Regardless it is an interesting new direction and I am happy to see it, especially since they took the suma root out of Shakeology.

The Body Beast Supplements line look to be legit. I like the fact that they include Protein, Post workout Carbs, Creatine, and Suma. All are great additions to your supplements when trying to build mass. I also thing the main reason why the protein, creatine and suma are flavor neutral are because they can be added to Shakeologoy which makes plenty of sense to me because Shakeology can be made into a great mass building shake when you add fruit, peanut butter and extra protein to it. Clean calories are king when building lean muscle mass. The only question I have so far is why only 18grams of protein in the Base Shake and why the new recovery formula? My guess is because they will recommend the Base Shake + Shakeology which will give you over 36 grams of protein. Fuel Shot might be the P90X Recovery drink re marketed.

What are your thoughts? Do you like these new supplements? Will you try them out?
